The ChemQuest Group Inc. recently announced that Crystal G. Morrison, Ph.D., has been appointed its newest R&D director.

Morrison reportedly has expertise in R&D organization design and leadership, innovation culture, aligned business and technical strategy, business development, portfolio management and prioritization, and technical talent development and retention. Her experience spans polymer chemistry and engineering, organic chemistry, nanomaterials, coatings, and composites.

Following graduate school at the University of Michigan, Morrison accepted the prestigious Harold Agnew National Security Postdoctoral fellowship at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) in Los Alamos, N.M. In 2010, LANL promoted her to team leader in materials design and fabrication, where she directed a 10-member core team and larger project teams, overseeing the entire project lifecycle for multiple initiatives.

Morrison said she “is looking forward to exceeding industry’s expectation by rebuilding material science R&D cultures, nurturing strong leadership skills, and ultimately redefining innovation success benchmarks” through her customized training workshops and leadership offerings.
