Synthomer recently announced that it has joined the International Association Representing the Nonwovens and Related Industries (EDANA) as an official member. According to Synthomer, the association provides an opportunity to exhibit and share expertise in the chemical binding of nonwovens. Along with EDANA’s 250 members, Synthomer aims to advance the interests of the nonwovens and their related industries in working groups, industry expositions, and events.

As one of the first event participations, Synthomer will be giving a technical presentation at the International Nonwovens Symposium on June 13 in Vienna. Soeren Butz, Ph.D., head of technical service textiles, will introduce a range of next-generation latex binders for the nonwowen industry that feature a self-crosslinking formula entirely free of formaldehyde emissions.
