The DELOLUX 504 spotlight lamp from DELO reportedly features the latest generation of UV LEDs, achieving three times the intensity of the previous model. This new LED lamp was developed for high-speed production in the electronics and automotive industries in environments that require small areas to be irradiated and equipment to be easily integrated into existing systems.

Dual Benefits

DELOLUX 504 has a maximum intensity of 4,000 mW/cm2 at a wavelength of 365 nm, providing double the benefit to its user. The lamp’s higher intensity makes UV adhesives cure faster, reducing cycle times.

In addition, the lamp can be placed farther away from the adhesive it is curing. Since the high intensity compensates for the physically induced power reduction that occurs with increasing distance, the lamp is able to provide more flexibility for integration into production lines. The typical working distance range is between 6-15 mm.

Design Details

With a lamp head measuring 42 x 20 x 7.3 mm, the compact DELOLUX 504 is reportedly excellent for use in tight installation configurations. The lamp offers optimized thermal management, ensuring that the heat generated by the LEDs is quickly dissipated by a direct connection to the heat sink and increasing the lifetime of the LEDs. The lamp’s passive cooling allows it to be used in clean rooms. The elliptical light exit area makes it possible to selectively irradiate only certain areas. A typical irradiated area is 3 x 8 mm.

The company reports that fixing points, geometry of the emitted light, and light distribution characteristics of the DELOLUX 504 spotlight source are the same as those of its predecessor, the DELOLUX 502. Existing systems can therefore be converted with very little effort. The DELOLUX 504 has a separable connecting cable so that the lamp head can be easily replaced without having to disassemble an entire production line.
