Mactac’s pressure-sensitive adhesives and related products (e.g., films, tapes, labels) are used in a range of applications, including transportation, building and construction, graphics, medical, and more. In early 2022, the company acquired Spinnaker Coating, a producer of pressure-sensitive roll label and sheet base materials, as well as CSI-SoCal, a custom slitting and distribution center for roll label printers.

“Mactac built upon our solid foundation adding enhanced service, capabilities and breadth of product offering,” said Ed LaForge, Mactac president and CEO, following the Spinnaker acquisition. “Our combined product offering now encompasses all adhesive technologies, including hot-melt, solvent, silicone and emulsion. We offer a wide range of high-quality PSA materials for any application need, such as film, cast vinyl and specialty solutions.”

According to Janet Page, general manager, the company is anticipating a strong 2022. “Mactac is forecasting tremendous growth in adhesive production compared to 2021,” she says. “The introduction of adhesive technologies for the building and construction market combined with strong growth in our tape and label businesses have Mactac poised for double-digit adhesive growth compared to 2021.”
