2025 ASI Top 20: Mactac

For over 60 years, Mactac has been a trusted supplier in the pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) materials market, serving industries such as label printing, graphic design, packaging, retail display, fleet graphics, automotive, and medical device assembly. The company is recognized for its outstanding customer support, helping businesses expand and diversify their product lines.

NOTES: In June 2024, Mactac finalized the acquisition of Label Supply, headquartered in Ontario, Canada. Label Supply has been serving the Canadian roll label market for more than three decades. The acquisition expands both companies’ geographic reach within the Canadian market, providing specialty products, service, and large quantities to more customers throughout Eastern Canada.

Also in 2024, Mactac expanded its manufacturing capabilities to produce industrial tapes using all four primary adhesive technologies — solvent, aqueous, hot-melt rubber, and UV-cured acrylic — through its newly acquired Minneapolis facility. The expansion broadens Mactac’s product offerings and enhances customization options, including advanced adhesive coatings and the integration of additives like flame retardants, pigments, and silica.

In the first half of 2025, Mactac received Critical Guidance Recognition from the Association of Plastic Recyclers for its BOPP pressure-sensitive labels with CHILL AT® adhesive. It is the third year in a row the company has achieved this recognition. The company also announced a new sales and distribution partnership with Chemical Concepts, which will provide local distribution of some of Mactac’s most popular mounting and bonding pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes to its North American customers.
