The Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) has issued a call for speakers for its 2023 Annual Convention and EXPO, held April 17-19, 2023, at the Hyatt Regency in New Orleans, Louisiana. Any new technology, market intelligence or timely topics relevant to the adhesive and sealant industry will be considered. The deadline to submit abstracts is December 9, 2022.

Potential topics include end-user applications, such as transportation, electronics, batteries/fuel cells, packaging, hygiene, and building and construction. Key feedstocks topics—including non-traditional chemistries as building blocks, chemical recycling technologies, mass balance, and the impact of regional and global events on petrochemical streams—will also be considered. Topics involving product development include formulating challenges (extreme conditions, de-bond on demand, troubleshooting application failures, transitioning to sustainable materials, low-VOC technologies, and regulatory restrictions), digitalization and the value chain, and global events and raw material volatility. Presentations can also address sustainable practices such as: the global comparison of compostability standards; measurements and challenges of LCA and EPDs; sustainability advances in areas such as hygiene, packaging, building and construction, materials, and supply chain; and recycling infrastructure and initiatives within raw materials and markets.

The expo will also feature new product introduction sessions that will allow exhibiting companies the opportunity to present new products recently introduced with corresponding formulation and use data. Presentations should be grounded in presenters' research experience. Promotional conversations are permissible; however, products or services may not be sold at the conference venue. There will be six slots available and confirmed on a first come first serve basis.

The convention will host an Academic Poster Session on topics relating to adhesives, sealants, and sustainability. Presenters will also have a chance to receive the Best Paper/Presenter Award.
