Toagosei Group’s Adhesive Material segment comprises five main companies: Aron Packaging Co., Ltd.; Toagosei America Inc.; Elmer’s & Toagosei Co.; Toagosei (Zhuhai) Ltd.; and Toagosei Hong Kong Ltd. The segment produces instant adhesives (including the Aron Alpha and Krazy Glue brands), as well as functional adhesives (including reactive, hot-melt, and light-cure products) for applications in automotive, electronics, and other industries.

The Adhesive Material segment saw net sales increased by 7.5% in 2024 compared to 2023 sales, reaching almost ¥13.34 billion (approximately $84.73 million). The company reports that sales for its adhesives for automotive batteries increased in 2024. It reported that automotive battery-related sales in 2024 – including LiB binders and adhesives for automotive batteries – reached 162% compared to 2022. Toagosei reported that this growth is attributed in part to a boost in electric vehicle sales. Additionally, the company reported an increase in sales for automotive applications and for smartphone electronic components.

NOTES: In its presentation of 2024 financial results, the company announced plans to expand sales of adhesives in Southeast Asia. In December 2024, the company announced plans to establish a local subsidiary in the Republic of India, Toagosei India Pvt. Ltd, to be located in Ahmedabad, India. The company announced it had established a local subsidiary in Vietnam in January 2024. Toagosei Vietnam Co. Ltd is located in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, and engages in the sales and technical services for the group’s products, including polymer flocculants.
