Philips Healthcare has recently awarded a grant to the Institute for Pediatric Innovation (in conjunction with Brigham and Women's and Children's Mercy Hospitals) for the development of a gentle adhesive for neonatal patients. A new adhesive design is necessary because the sensitive skin of premature babies is too fragile for regular hospital adhesives.
