Huntsman will attend JEC World 2022, May 3-5 in Paris, France, highlighting its evolving range of composite solutions, void fillers, and adhesives for automotive, aerospace, and industrial applications. For the wind energy, marine, and outdoor assembly industries, Huntsman will showcase its core range of epoxy, polyurethane, and acrylic adhesives. For example, the company will introduce ARALDITE® 2080, a structural acrylic adhesive that reportedly offers a number of benefits, including reduced smell (90% less than traditional products), a more favorable GHS classification, and a flash point above 60°C.

Huntsman’s booth will also feature ARALDITE 2051 acrylic adhesive, which has been nominated as a finalist in the 2022 JEC AWARD competition. Certified for specialized bonding on wind turbine blades, this adhesive was developed for composites bonding in extreme conditions for the wind (and marine) market. A wind-blade repair application will be showcased, illustrating the adhesive’s ability to cure between -20 and +40°C in wet conditions and even under salt water, enabling the repair of composite blades in extreme conditions and providing up to 50% reduction of downtime for improved productivity and CO2 emissions savings.
