Matrix Adhesives Group recently announced that it has completed its acquisition of Lohnpack Contract Filling, a niche provider of packaging and filling capabilities located in Hamilton, N.J. 

Henkel Adhesive Technologies recently announced that CRDC Global Limited is the winner of the Seal the Cycle initiative.

In collaboration with ChileGlobal Ventures, the venture capital arm of Fundación Chile, Henkel Chile has launched the global Seal the Cycle initiative to find technological solutions for plastic waste. The goal of the initiative is innovation in separating high-density polyethylene (HDPE) from silicone waste to enable the recycling of cartridges that cannot currently be reprocessed.

A new benchtop dispenser combines the simplicity and versatility of a dual-barrel cartridge with bench-mount support, pneumatic foot pedal, air logic, control panel, and all the equipment needed to convert dual-cartridges to a benchtop potting, encapsulating, bonding, and dispensing system.

The design of packaging and dispensing systems can go a long way in supporting adhesive manufacturers and end users in the pursuit of increased efficiencies. Particularly with the optimal filling and application of 2-component adhesives, it’s fundamental to obtain reliable bonds.

Despite all the discussion and debate in society over reducing our waste and carbon footprint, sausage packages (also known as chubs) for adhesives and sealants continue to gain little support in the building industry—even though their reduced packaging and low waste factor represent a step change in sustainability.

In 2015, we were challenged with developing a 14-head, 140/min, continuous-motion bottle filler to fill blow-molded bottles. It was during this project that we first began to work with Morrison Container Handling Solutions, and we began to rethink how we could transfer cartridge containers through our filling systems.
