Elkem and Environmental Foundation Zero Enter Partnership

Elkem and environmental foundation Zero announced they have entered a partnership for industrial climate solutions. Elkem, a global provider of advanced silicon-based materials critical for energy-efficient products, including electric vehicles, solar panels, and wind turbines, already reports to be more than 80% powered by renewable energy and holds a CDP rating of A- on climate.
Moving forward, the company aims for net-zero fossil emissions by 2050. Its climate strategy focuses on further reducing CO2 emissions, growing supplies of advanced materials toward the green transition, enabling a transition to a more circular economy, and collaborating with the environmental foundation Zero.
Zero is an independent, not-for-profit organization that promotes practical solutions to the climate crisis. Zero has an analytical and knowledge-based approach, and gains knowledge through continuous cooperation with external actors across business sectors, research, policy, and organizational networks.
