Dow Elastomers, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Co., recently announced it will address key industry trends and hot-melt adhesive (HMA) solutions during the FEICA 2014 European Adhesive & Sealant Conference and EXPO, which will take place September 17-19 in Berlin.

Dow Elastomers will present two papers:

“Food-Safe Packaging Hot-Melt Adhesives – How End-User Concerns Drive Change.” Karin Katzer, Global Strategic marketing manager, Adhesives, will present the paper with value chain partners Michaela Hofbauer, Global Market Leader, Adhesives, Eastman Chemical B.V., and Katharina von Dufving, Marketing and Sales manager, Europe Adhesives and Polymers, Sasol Performance Chemicals.

“Next-Generation Metallocene Polyolefin Copolymers Boost End Performance of Hot-Melt Adhesives in Packaging.” Burcak Conley, Associate TS&D manager, and Allan McLennaghan, Senior TS&D specialist will present a paper demonstrating the advantages of polyolefin elastomers over traditional EVA-based hot melt adhesives.
