The Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) of the American Chemistry Council (ACC) recently announced that applications for its Polyurethane Innovation Award are now being accepted through June 15, 2020. The award recognizes companies and individuals whose vision and perseverance bring innovative and life-enhancing products, technologies, and initiatives to the marketplace.

“Bringing innovative products and technologies to market is no easy feat, as the journey often takes years of thought, determination and perseverance,” said Lee Salamone, CPI senior director. “Then, there are those who go above and beyond to raise the bar, bringing about significant transformation to change the modern world and our everyday lives with improvements to polyurethane chemistry, products or practices. CPI looks forward to recognizing today’s polyurethane industry pioneers whose innovations will create a more sustainable tomorrow.”

All entries for the 2020 Polyurethane Innovation Award are required to represent new innovations that have not been previously submitted for the award. Eligible innovations include finished products, initiatives, training or education programs, or processes and processing equipment that have entered the market, for the first time, between June 16, 2018, and June 15, 2020. To enter the awards program, companies or individuals must submit an application no later than 5 p.m. EDT on June 15, 2020. The recipient of the Polyurethane Innovation Award will be announced at the conclusion of the Polyurethanes Technical Conference in October.
