From April 3-6, exhibitors, industry members and experts will travel to Nuremberg, Germany, to attend the European Coatings Show (ECS). The event will feature seven exhibition halls, multiple conference sessions, a keynote speaker, and two networking events.

Quality and business process reengineering no longer provide the competitive advantage they once did. Competitors are catching up with information technology, and cost cutting is not sustainable.

Prior to the 1980s, it was common for cars to rust. The lower doors and rocker panels were usually the first to go, followed by the floor pans, wheel wells and bumpers. Even the hood, deck lid and the roof were not immune. Aftermarket companies sprang up to “undercoat” cars to prevent rust. Automakers followed suit and offered undercoating as an option as they sought a solution.
